I love the idea of all things home made, but in reality sometimes it is soo easy to just run to the store and purchase whatever it is you need. I also love knowing how to make it just in case I can't run to the store. I am really excited about this one though. It is a simple toothpaste recipe. You can eliminate the sweetener if you would like (I don't mind eliminating it). and then I use my peppermint essential oil (I add a drop or two at a time until it has the right intensity for me), or you can use the extract. If you try this one out let me know. Coconut oil is known for so many great things, but one of those is helping to kill the bad germs, also I have read it is great for helping to whiten teeth. I can't wait to hear what your experience is on this.If you need peppermint essential oil check out my doTERRA shop

Coconut Oil Hair Mask
I love coconut oil for so many things!!! Food, health, beauty and so many ways to use it. If you google it I would dare bet you could come up with at least 40+ unique ways to use coconut oil. But for today let's test it out on our hair. I can't wait to hear back from you how this works!!! This is one of the coconut oils I have tried and liked.
I dare you to give this a try and then come back and leave me a comment and let me know if you liked it or not? I loved it.

Spa Treatment with Avocados
Nourish and Moisturize
This can be used on your face or your hair.
What you will need:
1/4 ripe small avocado
buttermilk
30 min to yourself
Hot water and wash rag
Begin by securing your hair out of the way (unless your using it on your hair). Mash up the avocado with enough buttermilk to form a nice paste. Using your fingers apply using upward motions to the face and neck. If you have a moment in the sunshine with this mask it is divine to allow everything to be nice and warm (If not you can place a nice hot towel over your face too). If you have dry chapped hands and want a real treat leave it on your hands as well. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Remove with warm damp cloth. If you are using it on your hair, apply to the hair, and cover your head with a shower cap and leave for 30 minutes. Then rinse. This is a great mask for normal to dry skin, or dry damaged or fizzy hair. Great for any type of environmentally damaged skin.

Cellulite be gone!
It doesn't matter how much weight I loose I still have a few spots that are really tough to get cellulite free. Cellulite is my worst enemy, it doesn't matter your size or shape it seems almost everyone has one area where they have some cellulite issues. It seems to be more of a problem for women than men. Here are a few things to help get rid of cellulite:
So many things to help, here is a recipe for a great body wrap you can do at home:
Have any of you ever been to a spa and had a wrap? I haven't, however, a while back I did a little experiment... . I found a recipe online for a slim & sassy wrap one you just add 20 drops slim & sassy oil to 1 Tbsp coconut oil and apply to area of concern, then wrap with plastic wrap, leave for 1-2 hours or overnight if possible. The one I used is this
In a 4 oz glass spray bottle, combine
40 drops slim & sassy oil
15 drops Eucalyptus oil
15 drops Wintergreen oil
10 drops Peppermint oil
10 drops Lavender Oil
10 drops Grapefruit oil
Fill to the top with carrier oil - I am using almond oil, but coconut oil or grapeseed oil would all be great too.
Before wrapping I am going took my measurements and some pics and I could see some results in the pics, but I really did see drop in measurements. Here are my measurements before and after... I just measured the areas where I really wanted to see a difference...
Top of my thigh, just below my butt
Right Leg 22 After 21 1/4
Left Leg 21 1/2 (weird how there can be that much difference between legs) After 20 1/2
Lower thigh, just above my knee
Right leg 15 1/4 After 15
Left leg 15 After 14 3/4
Stomach right at my belly button 29 1/4 After 28 1/2
Right arm at mid bicep 11 After 10 1/2
Left arm at mid bicep 10 1/2 (man my left side must be a wuse!) After 10 1/4
Here is my friend's measurements (she helped me wrap up.. I highly recommend a helper you will get a tighter better wrap job. I left mine over night (this was interesting when I had to pee...) I figured it out but it could have been a problem... just something to think about when getting all wrapped up.
Upper thigh right 25 after 24
Upper thigh left 24 1/4 after 24
Stomach 37 after 33 1/2!!! we had to remeasure just to make sure!!! Crazy huh!
So to do this spray the area of concern (this would be my upper thigh, my stomach, and upper arms) Wrap with three or four layers of plastic/saran wrap. Leave on for 1-2 hours or over night. This wrap will be a warm/cool detoxifying wrap. The average loss has been anywhere from 1/2 inch to 6 inches!!! Make sure to drink plenty of water, and for more detoxifying results add 5-15 drops lemon to it. You want to drink before during and especially after.

Use Honey for A Natural Moisurizing Spa Treatment
Super easy natural spa recipe that I love!!
Hydrate and soften
This time of year my skin needs some extra hydration!! So aside from guzzling my water (with an occasional coke) I use this treatment.
What you will need:
2-3 tsp raw honey.
Hair restraints
20-25 minutes to yourself
Hot water and a wash rag
Start by pulling your hair back and putting on a headband so you don't get any stragglers. Use your fingers and apply a thin coat of honey to your entire face and neck. It may bead like rain on a window. Leave on for 15 minutes while you enjoy a moment to yourself to just relax! Take about 5 minutes to take your fingers and pat along your skin lightly with tapping motions. Play your face like a piano!! This is actually really fun and feels so awesome!! Finally rinse using a very warm, wet cloth. Or just hop in the shower, but take your shirt off before you start the mask. Your skin will glow from the increased circulation! Follow with a moisturizer if needed. This is great for all skin types but especially great for dry, sunburned, windburned, or any other form of environmentally damaged skin.
